Dr. Delmedico earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Duke University in North Carolina. While there, she was active in the Humanities Special Interest Group and was also the Chair of the Inpatient Special Interest Group. Dr. Delmedico completed unique clinical internships in both outpatient and rehab settings at Duke's cardiopulmonary specialty clinic and Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, respectively.
Following her clinical affiliations, Dr. Delmedico's years of clinical experience spans a wide spectrum, treating patients in outpatient orthopedics, acute care, inpatient rehab, as well as day rehab. While she enjoys treating a diverse mix of orthopedic diagnoses, she has a special interest in treating patients with lumbar, thoracic, and cervical spine diagnoses. Lisa also enjoys treating patients with neurological diagnoses in the outpatient setting. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association as well as the Orthopedic and Neurological Specialty Sections.
Dr. Delmedico's Bachelor's Degree is in Music, where she graduated with honors from Butler University after studying piano pedagogy. Lisa was also an active member of the Butler University Athletic Bands as well as their chamber music and jazz ensembles. Years of experience teaching both her music students and patients have helped Lisa refine her skills as an educator, which is vital in order to achieve superior rehab outcomes.
In an effort to provide the best care possible to her patients, Dr. Delmedico values creating strong connections with her patients and believes that having rapport and trust in your provider are the most vital aspects of rehabilitation. In her free time, Lisa enjoys playing the piano, reading, and aerial dancing.
