Jessica Hough, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Hough earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Tennessee State University after completing clinical rotations in outpatient orthopedics and pelvic health, as well as acute and inpatient rehabilitation.

While Jessica has been trained in treating a variety of musculoskeletal diagnoses, she has a passion for treating women and men with pelvic health diagnoses. Dr. Hough has completed three levels of pelvic health specialty training taught through the American Physical Therapy Association. She is experienced in treating diagnoses such as incontinence, pelvic floor weakness, pelvic pain, bowel dysfunction, and prolapse as well as post-surgical diagnoses. In addition, Jessica enjoys helping women during and following pregnancy regain control over their body and return to doing what they love most while feeling confident. “Too often pelvic health is considered a taboo subject for various genders, ages, and ethnicities. It is my goal and passion to educate patients and our community on why pelvic health is important and how it is achievable. It is never too late to treat. It is the core of who we are after all.” Jessica is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association as well as the Pelvic Health Speciality Section.

Prior to her graduate school training, Dr. Hough earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science and practiced as a licensed massage therapist for multiple years. This helped her hone her manual skills and understand the importance of taking a wholistic approach to treatment. Dr. Hough uses patient-friendly education and evidence-based practice to promote independence and long-term outcomes for each individual who she cares for. She believes that practicing good self-care, prevention, and wellness are key to being able to properly help care for others. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys exploring the city, trying new chef-driven restaurants, and listening to live music. To keep active, she enjoys hiking, exploring the outdoors, as well as pilates.
