Michelle Carlevato, PT, DPT, CSCS

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Michelle places her listening skills on the same plane as her professional skills. “I take pride in listening closely to each patient so I can effectively implement an individualized treatment plan tailored to the goals of each individual patient,” she says. She finds it rewarding to watch her patients move forward and be able to return to the functional activities that they enjoy most in life.

Dr. Carlevato obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University, consistently ranked one of the top physical therapy programs in the country.

In 2006, Michelle furthered her knowledge base by earning her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification (CSCS). Dr. Carlevato is IASTM Hawk Grips Certified and uses these highly effective hands-on tools as an adjunct to her customized treatment plans in treating a number of soft tissue diagnoses that her patients present with.

She has been working primarily in outpatient settings, treating a variety of orthopedic conditions and working with a diverse patient mix. Along the way she has completed coursework in Stott Pilates, which she often incorporates into her treatment plans, as she believes the core is an individual’s foundation to be built upon.

What people say about Michelle:

“Sometimes when you hurt for a very long time, you forget how good it feels to move without pain. Michelle’s knowledge and caring attitude made a huge difference in my quality of life. I can do things now, following her course of therapy that I never thought I would do again.”   -Helen S.

“I used to dread long trips on family vacations because of my persistent back pain. Thanks to Michelle’s up-to-date knowledge in physical therapy, she identified a treatment and set of follow-up exercises that has helped me enjoy these great times again. I am forever grateful.”      -Robert T.

“What I really appreciated about Michelle was her ability to really listen to me. I had tried to explain to others where I was really experiencing pain, and when I talked to Michelle, I sensed immediately that she really understood. She zeroed in on the problem and I am well on my way to a permanent recovery.”    -Audrey N.

“Michelle introduced me to Stott Pilates as part of my therapy and now it has become part of my daily life. She was interested in helping me recover from my injury, but also in having a healthy life after I no longer needed therapy, and her influence has continued to make me healthier.”    -Sara B.
